Ok, so maybe birthdays are more than just cake.

First, Nanna came over and took me to the playground.  Then Dad made some chocolate cupcakes.  Then Mom gave me a new “big” ball and a Wonka Bar!  (Just like Charlie!)  Then me, Dad, Mom, Kristine, Klaire, and Nanna all went swimming at the big pool.  Then we got to sit in the parking lot and eat the cupcakes.  Then Mom, Dad and I went to McDonalds.  Then they said I had to have a nap. (Boo!)  Then we went to the bowling alley and I got to bowl!  Then we went to Casa Ramos and ate Mexican food!  Then I got to go home and watch some of my (current) favorite movie, The Sound of Music.

Phew!  What a day!

They tell me we’re doing more things on Friday night and Saturday!  I can’t wait!

I love birthdays!  I want another one tomorrow.

…that’s what everyone’s been telling me.

I know all about birthdays.  I’ve been doing research.

My favorite TV show, TEC The Tractor, has an episode where TEC and Katie have a birthday on the same day.  A bunch of kids come over and they all eat cake.

Also, Dad has a videotape of me that I watch on the television.  He says it’s from my first birthday.  And do you know what’s going on in that video?  Yep.  I’m eating cake.

So, I’m very excited every time someone tells me that my birthday is coming up soon.  But then they always ask me, “What do you want for your birthday?”

Isn’t it obvious?  CAKE!

They would know that if THEY had done their research.

Mommy keeps telling me I’ll be able to play outside every day… “Soon”.  I wanna go play outside NOW!  I keep hearing about this Spring thing, and how it’s already started.  But Mom and Dad keep telling me, “Not today, it’s too cold.” or “Not today, it’s too wet out.”  I’m tired of their excuses!

I did get outside for a few minutes yesterday after we went to the store.  And guess what I saw?  Flowers!  I thought they were so pretty I just sat on the sidewalk and looked at them for a few minutes.  I finally decided to pick one and see what it smelled like.  It smelled pretty, too!

I can hardly wait until I can go outside every day!

Mommy keeps telling me I’ll be able to play outside every day… “Soon”.  I wanna go play outside NOW!  I keep hearing about this Spring thing, and how it’s already started.  But Mom and Dad keep telling me, “Not today, it’s too cold.” or “Not today, it’s too wet out.”  I’m tired of their excuses!

I did get outside for a few minutes yesterday after we went to the store.  And guess what I saw?  Flowers!  I thought they were so pretty I just sat on the sidewalk and looked at them for a few minutes.  I finally decided to pick one and see what it smelled like.  It smelled pretty, too!
