Presenting Miss Chloe. This girl makes my heart super happy! She started life as a 1920’s or 30’s skirted vanity/dressing table. I think she would make a most excellent accent piece for just about any room. I can see her living happily in an entranceway, a hallway, a bedroom… She’s absolutely lovely. And versatile! Her previous person had started to refurbish her and got her down to the bare wood which was beautiful and a genuine joy to work with. I wanted to feature that wood, but also wanted to see her in a bit of finery.
She’s dressed in homemade, hand tinted, milk paints. (Stencil and drawer sides done in a combo of the same milk paints and a few homespun mineral paints.) Sealed with a couple coats of poly for durability and a top coat of lightly hand tinted wax.
